Dear Constituents of Simcoe-Grey,
John Graves Simcoe was a British army officer and the first Lieutenant Governor of Upper Canada. John Simcoe dedicated his life to making Canada the best place in the world to live.
Within the riding of Simcoe Grey, we have many dedicated people who enrich the lives of others by performing selfless volunteer work. If it wasn’t for these volunteers, our community would not be what it is today.
The John Simcoe Award will be presented to a wide range of constituents – young person, an adult, a senior, a business and a service club that have made a difference in Simcoe-Grey. These people will have gone above and beyond in making a positive difference in the lives of others through volunteering.
All nomination forms must be submitted by 4:00pm on January 15th, 2016. We thank you for taking the time to complete the nomination form. The nominator will receive written confirmation of the outcome of the nomination. A congratulatory ceremony and luncheon will be held for recipients and their guests in February 2016.
Nomination forms can be found here: Nomination Form 2016
