John Simcoe Awards

Dear Constituents of Simcoe-Grey,

John Graves Simcoe was a British army officer and the first Lieutenant Governor of Upper Canada. John Simcoe dedicated his life to making Canada the best place in the world to live.

Within the riding of Simcoe Grey, we have many dedicated people who enrich the lives of others by performing selfless volunteer work. If it wasn’t for these volunteers, our community would not be what it is today.

I am proud to announce that as your Member of Parliament, I wish to recognize the contributions that so many of my constituents make through the John Simcoe Awards.

The John Simcoe Award will be presented to a wide range of constituents – young person, an adult, a senior, a business and a service club that have made a difference in Simcoe-Grey. These people will have gone above and beyond in making a positive difference in the lives of others through volunteering.

Nominations will be accepted through my offices until December 19th, 2014. A congratulatory ceremony and luncheon will be held for recipients and their guests in February 2014. I strongly encourage you to take the time to nominate an individual, group or business who you feel makes a positive impact in our community.

Nomination forms can be found here: John Simcoe Nomination Form 2014
